The House Voted No.

I’m in shock right now.  Pure shock.

WASHINGTON – The House on Monday defeated a $700 billion emergency rescue for the nation’s financial system, ignoring urgent warnings from President Bush and congressional leaders of both parties that the economy could nosedive into recession without it.

Not much to say, but maybe admit- I’m happy to be wrong.

Mark it down folks- September 29, 2008 – The House did something good and FOR the people.  Reading my posts from earlier will attest, I didn’t expect it at all. 

If this isn’t asking to much or thinking  a little to far ahead- Can we also dissolve the Patriot Act and bring back the rest of By the people and for the people?

 Now, expect a few bankers to be going on some perma trips, with a healthy side of political discourse, drama, fear, and god knows what else.  (You know, the usual M.O. when politicians want their pockets lined, the ones for the bill at least.)

To citizens- be prepared for the fallout.  At least we don’t have to pay these bastards.

Dinosaurs, People, Creationism and Palin Oh my!  *almost* as funny as The Infamous Russia Comment.  *almost*

*That is until I realized this bat-shit insane thinker ( mandatory lol) could be in charge of the country/ nuke codes/ lord know what else.

Let me get this right, the world is 6,000 years old now?  Oh? Really?  You want to teach this to kids? Oh? Really?  Howzabout no, and not just no, a big steaming pile of Oh Hell No.  Are you serious?

 Now, you more than like think that I’m just “bashing her” due to my staunch support of Obama.  No.  I don’t like any of these people.  I’d really rather not have to make a choice of the lesser of two evils (don’t even suggest I vote for an independent, they haven’t exactly shown themselves to be exactly a good ticket). 

Creationist (giggle) Theory (giggle) in and of itself is something I read as if I’m reading oh I don’t know how about Cracked?   To get a damn good laugh.  The difference, Cracked writes stuff that makes a better point and most of it is a hell of a lot more believable and logical.

Economists are freaking over the bill being debate at this very moment.  I can’t really say I blame them.  Or that I disagree.  What is certain is congress has been inundated with angry phone calls from hundred of thousands of citizens.  Which unfortunately isn’t going to do very much anymore. 

With the forced urgency to force this bill through, and the forced “concession” of the politicians weekend (collective sympathy sigh anyone?).

The sad fact of the matter is, it’s too damn late.  It’s all just too damn late.

I’ve heard the arguments over why oh why we can’t just let the bastards fail. 

I was stricken with shock at the “golden parachute” limit of $500,000 , after which they impose they “atrocity” of ”putting a tax on anything over that to the company” (we won’t even get into the bull where that much us a-OK due to it’s pennies compared to their normal pay).

I’ve had the Twilight Zone theme going on in my head now for a few weeks.  I don’t think myself nor anyone else who’s following this whole mess can take much more. 

You know thing are a bit off when we have or pseudo – American government dictated- frenemy going to bat for Americans.
