The last post wasn’t trying to paint the broad brushstroke it did. Just the sue crazy people, the ones that cry “Discrimination” over everything.
I am sick and tired something fierce of the wussifying of our world. People aren’t going to make it very much longer with this crap.
Nope, this isn’t an apology. I still sticking with the bug off if your a sue happy twit.

Are you offended?
Okay, I am taking a quasi unpopular stance right this second. This article I found bugs me. In the sense that I really am afraid now for humanity. It’s title? “How to Recognize Fat Discrimination”, okay now. Take a deep breath here.
Discrimination?! Seriously?!
I am sick and tired of this “discrimination” bunk being thrown about EVERYWHERE. Have you ever seen a 180 pound toddler? I have, it was absolutely horrifying.
I also request that someone makes something make sense to me. I’m taller but skinny as all heck. Why is it okay for people to call me bulimic or anorexic? If I call someone the title above I’m a bitch. A horrible troll, who is >excuse here<. My body burns up anything I give it quick. I eat healthy most of the time, and genetics. That is perfectly kosher to make fun of though? If I call someone Fatty Fat I get sued?!
If I say anything negative I’m being discriminatory now. I’ve seen this bs being tossed about as if it were confetti. If you think I am being discriminatory, bug off. Please. Go crawl into to some hugbox somewhere and cry. Oh that’s right, this is America. The land of opportunity suing. Let me let you in on something, that’s it lean in. It’s not discrimination, and money isn’t going to make everything better. You won’t lose any weight, unless you count the loss of self respect and others respect for you poundage lost.
See those people in that picture up there? Yeah, what they go through is discrimination. They weren’t allowed to marry, love each other, or garnish their affections legally until the last few years. They could have been imprisoned. Killed. Or some other horrible fate.
Or read this. The crime? She a woman who cheated on her spouse. She was stoned to death. Buried and stoned to death.
You know what? As soon as you can be killed, or looked at as “less of a person” due to the fact you collectively outweigh the rest of the “civilized world” then you can cry discrimination. When these statistics change, you can cry discrimination. Until then, face it. You are the majority. Crying discrimination because you got made fun of, someone was just a bit ‘ole meanie head so they need to get sued.

I’m cross linking this, because this blog gets a lot more attention. I’m wondering if anyone would be interested in this project. Would Anyone Be Willing To Share? It’s an idea that has been with me for a bit now. I just need to know if the interest is there or not.
Essentially it’s a look at basic human reactions and responces. It’s going to be broken down into the seven sins (Due to the Sinners & Saints theme). I’ll set up an anonymous email account for it, so anyone who want to do this can just send me an email. It can be an image, words, whatever you want.
If you know anyone who is interested, feel free to send them a link to this post.
The Sinners & Saints thing, is just basically illustrative of the duality we all have. Although, if the response calls for it, I can change the set up or what have you.

From an INC tech blogger:
So the Kindle
is interesting in that it raises the question of intellectual property and how that differs when it is a printed material in your hand as opposed to a set of bits on an electronic device. This is an issue society is still working out. IP is different than physical things, it just is. But in order for humanity to progress, people need to profit from it in my opinion and so such property needs protection of some kind.
Amazon Kindle is used as an example for everything, in this instance copyright law. Admittedly, it’s a damn good example. As a writer, do you want people everywhere getting copies of your book free? What is more important, the message and the words or making money?
There are those that feel as with everything, it seems everything is about how to turn an extra profit off of one thing or another.
True, I am a writer and I sell art but I can also understand both sides- I can understand making a profit, I can also understand the logic in giving people free rein.
I suppose this is the problem with all of this.
On one hand you have people who think everything should be free. Or even once you buy something, you should be able to distribute it at will. Then there are the people who want each and every person to shell out more money so they can survive.
If your livelihood is based around writing, or art, or software, or a bunch of other things that this whole thing would apply to don’t you have the right to charge? Should you, if you put your word out there, expect people not to share? Even with a normal book, people will share it amongst themselves.
Yes, this is all “uncharted territory”? People do pirate software, then again that turns things into a vicious circle.
To illustrate I’ll use Adobe Photoshop (seriously, Photoshop is asking for it. It’s what, $600 bucks?):
Jacked price already --> Pirating Due to Jacked up Price -->Jack up price even more to combat losses.
That pretty much sums up the problem (at least with software).
Although, I must admit art and books don’t really it that cycle. Then again Kindle’s book library has a ton in it, so I doubt many of them are really that worried overall. This is (at least it seems) like yet another much adieu about absolutely nothing scenario. Then again, if the writers are fine the rest should logically be too right?
Oh yeah, that’s right. The RIAA fiasco… ‘Cause nothing says I mean business like arresting a whole bunch of 13 year olds…
Didn’t they say something along these lines about people who were downloading music?
This seems suspiciously just like RIAA and it’s music industry bs from a few years ago.
Last time I checked the musicians still are loaded and the industry isn’t exactly crumbling. Eh, time shall tell. I’m just hoping a bit that this won’t turn into yet another junk waste of money government fiasco.

I’m Not Sure Which is Worse Hollywood or Politics

- Ashley Todd, for McCain ‘08.
Also a shirt.
I’m leaning towards politics.
I’m posting this merely out of general disgust, after being generally annoyed with it all I decided to post this here.
This is no where near what I typically post, for that I apologize.
I’ll make it up with a better post later.
__
I’m not in any way shape or form coming out with support of either candidate. McCain (I hope, that would be political suicide.) Had nothing to do with this nutjob. The irony of which, in her support she could very well have cost him everything.
I’m not going into the actual story there’s plenty of that already. Instead, I pose a single question.
What the hell is wrong with people?

Devoid of meaning at times…

Unity Charity Liberty Print
Unity in things necessary,
Liberty in things doubtful,
Charity in everything
-Anonymous
Perhaps this is what is missing. The common bond that held us together, unity due to hardships and struggle. We used to need each other, now we merely exist together.
Our strength used to be each other, relying on the community for guidance, the community was a family. Yes, there were many more hardships and life was much more of a struggle than today. Yet, today you are merely existing side by side. Of all the articles I have read, Cracked.com offers an amazing piece on insight. Called, What is The Monkeysphere? I honestly suggest it be read.
Liberty doesn’t have the ring it used to does it? For a while now, it seems that word has a connotation it never did before. A negative, a wistfulness it never had before this time. Things have changes, old ways swept under the rug, this is unfortunately life. These changes were bred from fear. The fear was used to control the community. Further separating the divide between us, hatred was replaced with new hatred. We fear our neighbors, not only in our immediate community, but the global community.
I honestly have no idea how to even bring about the slate being wiped clean. The dissolution of government to be honest is not something that would help. That seems to be the easy answer, unfortunately Occam’s Razor seems doubtful to apply to something as profound as human nature. We are intertwined with our own brains need to be either a follower or a leader.
The followers need the guidance, leaders a mission or cause.
We have a global problems, one solution will not work for us all. Nature and nurture has had it’s effect on us all, we are not a one size fits all species.
We are different, we should embrace it- not fear it. Perhaps I’m just being an idealist.

Artistic endeavors, be it art, writing, or a million other things are and have been my passion for as long as I can remember. My other blog hosted here shows some of it, without the ego behind it all getting in the way. I’m still anonymous there, I have the same theory with my artwork as I do this blog:
My identity is not important. After all, knowing a name doesn’t change what you see or feel.
You may subscribe to it here if you so desire Subscribe to Sinners & Saints. They are offered for sale, but obviously I don’t expect you to purchase them to appreciate/ subscribe to them.
I create while some drink, some have many bed partners, I simply create. I have also come to realize, the act of simply looking at someone’s artwork can calm. It’s come to be my therapy.
I am fascinated by the divide in not only people, but in their perceptions of things. There is a factoid floating around to the effect of “no two people will view the same thing, the same way”. You or myself may see a cloud, but another person may see something within, we don’t or cannot.
The whole concept of the ego vs the id is fascinating to me. There is a duality to each of us although it will manifest differently in each one, is essentially comprised of similar characteristics. We are all the sinners, and all the saints. On the surface, something can be beautiful. That same thing, if looked at deeper can become hideous.
Granted, that could just be my overcritical side.
This concludes my rather self-promoting post.

Atheists put faith in ‘God-free’ advertising
A number of reports at first suggested the Godless were reluctant to dip into their pockets in the time-honoured fashion of true believers. But that was before Professor Richard Dawkins, best-selling author of The God Delusion, stepped in with his offer to match all contributions up to a maximum of £5,500.
Bolding is mine.
The bold part still has me laughing. I have the book mentioned, I’m a fan of Dawkins. He manages to word things in an understanding, thoughtful way. I love the idea of this campaign, I know how many times I have been personally/ directly insulted due to my lacking of “belief”. I have to admit to being surprised at this campaign either way.
My understanding of the purpose of this advertising campaign is to level the playing field, if England is anything like America with advertising, then you see the “religious messages” everywhere. It’s understandable to want to also see a message that you can personally relate to.
I’m far from crying persecuted Atheist, it’s my “lack of” belief system, just as believing in a “higher power” is for someone else. The only part I’m having issues coming to terms is the different approach.
Using the power of Google to illustrate my point, a quick search in google images, this is the first relevant ad:
Christian advert:

Okay a tad fire and brimstone for my linking. I personally don’t believe in him, so I guess I’ll die. Quite the bummer, maybe their site will tell me otherwise.
Now, that kind of is a tad insulting, but no matter. I’ve been told worse. Going to the website listed JesusSaid.org tell us;
What are the consequences if you reject the answer?
God’s wrath includes the prospect of eternal punishment – it is appointed to men to die once and then comes the judgment (Hebrews 9:27). You will rise from the dead and will face the Judge and know that you rejected His kind and merciful answer. You will be condemned to everlasting separation from God and then you spend all eternity in torment in hell. Jesus spoke about this as a lake of fire which was prepared for the devil and all his angels (demonic spirits) (Matthew 25: 41).
Bold is theirs.
Oh my. Well then, that is a predicament. You see, I need a tad more proof aside from threats from an old and dusty book. You catch more flies with honey than vinegar. A bit fierce on the approach, but they do say these kinds of things are more for the believers anyway. Again, no matter. Doesn’t really change my mind or anything. Life shall continue.
Now the Atheist Campaign (click the image to go to the source);

Not exactly the most powerful words ever written, the probably isn’t exactly going to win over millions of not believers.
Even if I agree (well, even if quite a bit more strongly in my own convictions) again, these kinds of things aren’t for the “opposing viewpoint” anyway. Maybe they should work on the fear like the first one?
Although, the only thing that might incite is a bit of road rage, but hey it’s something right?
No, I am not advocating road rage
The message is about as powerful as anything I can come up with I suppose. Although, I think I’ve got a good one for Agnostics. “Eh” being the whole of the campaign simply with a picture of someone shrugging their shoulders. “RightToBeOnTheFence.com” could be their site.
You can take a look for yourself. That link is a google image result for “Atheist Advertising”, it’s a contest who can look the absolute silliest. I don’t think I can wade anymore through it all right now, so
I’m giving you the link. It’s a good old fashioned pi$$ing contest to be blunt (although a little entertaining, I will admit).
Seriously? I can out non believe the best of them, one way or another please keep up the adverts! They are at the very least entertaining. Atheists, please work on it.
Please, for the rest of us non believers you can do better. Work on some kind of rival logo or something. Hell, it was done with the Darwin fish, we can do it with this too.
Professor Dawkins is not amused…

Talking to a friend recently he was bemoaning cyber life:
There is so much trash, and I mean big heaping pile of crap on the web it seems like anything halfway useful should be lost due to the sheer amount of garbage piled up. Shifting through it is more of a hassle than it’s worth.
Now, if that isn’t stating the obvious I don’t know what is.
Is there a way to combat the amount of crap so only the useful things will appear? Maybe even some kind of global blacklist (ha! I know, I know I jest) for the crap flood?
The internet is great in the sense it allows us all to get heard, even if there are some people who shouldn’t be “heard” ever. Alas, the free for all will be in effect- even for “them”. Which if that alone lets people who legitimately use their voice, it is a sacrifice that is worthy. To the degrees, at some point I think we have all wandered across something that inspires us. Then again, for that one golden piece, there are tenfold that we truly wish we could unsee.
Lately there has been a bit of banter flitting about regarding governmental involvement on the web. Lieberman is one of the pundits involved. Although his measure failed, I am sure there will be more like it coming into play sooner or later.
Admittedly, I am curious about something. Namely Anonymous, the “hackers on steroids” that “plague” of the internet. (It takes all I have to not laugh a bit at that, mainly the image of a jacked up hacker.) Considering that for or against them, you have to be a mite bit impressed with the ability to get it together enough to hold the worldwide protests. Considering the main dynamic involved, no leadership, yet the group normally known for the goatse managed to hold worldwide demonstrations.
Consider also, for every push to make something more secure more “unbreakable” people will find a way in. Even CERN wasn’t safe, then again, they thought is was brilliant to have their main hub attached to the ‘net. Goes to show, genius doesn’t actually equal common sense.
In all actuality, when push comes to shove- if “whomever” did indeed try to limit the internet.
People will undoubtedly find a way around it. After all, that is human nature.

The treatment of our veterans is ridiculous, not simply in the obvious the VA is a joke and a travesty way. What people are expected to simply “deal with” is horrible. People are expected to shut up, sit down and look straight ahead when anything screwed up is going down. I’m more familiar with the “old school” vets. The new ones make me sick to my stomach. Granted many are wonderful, doing what they believe in and are respectable and upstanding people. The screwed up ones shouldn’t define the rest. I believe we can agree on this.
Yes? Okay then moving along nicely.
There are the very obvious sick ones. like Cesar Armando Laurean who isn’t a Marine regardless if he made it through boot or not. I refuse to put any supposed “rank” he claimed here.
The Corps jumped the shark on this and got a girl and her unborn child killed. He was reported in April, still free to off the girl in December. Makes sense right? No? Not to me either.
