Devoid of meaning at times…

Unity Charity Liberty Print
Unity in things necessary,
Liberty in things doubtful,
Charity in everything

Perhaps this is what is missing. The common bond that held us together, unity due to hardships and struggle. We used to need each other, now we merely exist together.
Our strength used to be each other, relying on the community for guidance, the community was a family. Yes, there were many more hardships and life was much more of a struggle than today. Yet, today you are merely existing side by side. Of all the articles I have read, Cracked.com offers an amazing piece on insight. Called, What is The Monkeysphere? I honestly suggest it be read.
Liberty doesn’t have the ring it used to does it? For a while now, it seems that word has a connotation it never did before. A negative, a wistfulness it never had before this time. Things have changes, old ways swept under the rug, this is unfortunately life. These changes were bred from fear. The fear was used to control the community. Further separating the divide between us, hatred was replaced with new hatred. We fear our neighbors, not only in our immediate community, but the global community.
I honestly have no idea how to even bring about the slate being wiped clean. The dissolution of government to be honest is not something that would help. That seems to be the easy answer, unfortunately Occam’s Razor seems doubtful to apply to something as profound as human nature. We are intertwined with our own brains need to be either a follower or a leader.
The followers need the guidance, leaders a mission or cause.
We have a global problems, one solution will not work for us all. Nature and nurture has had it’s effect on us all, we are not a one size fits all species.
We are different, we should embrace it- not fear it. Perhaps I’m just being an idealist.

Artistic endeavors, be it art, writing, or a million other things are and have been my passion for as long as I can remember. My other blog hosted here shows some of it, without the ego behind it all getting in the way. I’m still anonymous there, I have the same theory with my artwork as I do this blog:
My identity is not important. After all, knowing a name doesn’t change what you see or feel.
You may subscribe to it here if you so desire Subscribe to Sinners & Saints. They are offered for sale, but obviously I don’t expect you to purchase them to appreciate/ subscribe to them.
I create while some drink, some have many bed partners, I simply create. I have also come to realize, the act of simply looking at someone’s artwork can calm. It’s come to be my therapy.
I am fascinated by the divide in not only people, but in their perceptions of things. There is a factoid floating around to the effect of “no two people will view the same thing, the same way”. You or myself may see a cloud, but another person may see something within, we don’t or cannot.
The whole concept of the ego vs the id is fascinating to me. There is a duality to each of us although it will manifest differently in each one, is essentially comprised of similar characteristics. We are all the sinners, and all the saints. On the surface, something can be beautiful. That same thing, if looked at deeper can become hideous.
Granted, that could just be my overcritical side.
This concludes my rather self-promoting post.
